It helps to work with a guy with a love of the land and a heart for its history. Jeff knows the story behind the land he works each day. He gets excited when he sees old homesteads or stacked rock walls. Looking for land can be fun, if you have the right guy on your side.
I wasn’t really excited about having my neighbors know my business when we went to sell daddy’s place last year. Jeff was honest about the pluses and minuses, then showed us what he thought he could get for us quickly, if one of his investor contacts was interested. Things moved quicker than we expected, and we ended up with more than we expected.
Rylan listened when I told him I wanted to find the right place, and didn’t want to pay more than a certain price. It didn’t happen overnight, but when he brought me the place he’d found for me, I wrote an offer that day. It’s nice to have a ranch guy listen, then not waste your time. When he calls now, I know he has something I should pay attention to.
Looking for a place out west, I did some internet homework and landed on a place Jeff listed. I called and we met and unfortunately the place wasn't what we were looking for. We talked a bit, then left and later we exchanged emails and spoke by phone. Jeff said he would get a list of what he derived from our conversations and emails. Several weeks later, we're on the road again looking places over from the list he comprised - BINGO! Exactly what we were looking for even though we didn't realize it on the initial meeting.
Jeff made finding the right ranch a great experience. We wanted a place to play on the weekends, but that would also be a solid value in our overall investment portfolio. Jeff found the right place, helped us get our financing in place and kept after all the details until he handed us the keys to our new front gate.
